The Bones of the Orbit
This week let's continue our exploration of the skull, focusing on the bones that make up the orbit. In this soundbite, we will discuss the orbit's protective function and outline some important clinical relevance such as the spread of infection and trauma.
The bones we introduce this week are the paired palatine and nasolacrimal bones. The ethmoid, and last but not least the wasp-shaped sphenoid bone.
